Are online-based exams better than an exam offline?

The question of whether a computer-based test is superior to a paper and pen-based examination, or not, can only be determined by JEE Main candidates.

Computer-based examinations are simpler and more effective than offline mode. Candidates will save lots of time and effort by not filling out OMR sheets.

What are the advantages from JEE Main as an online test?

1.It reduces the time spent

When taking offline or pen-and-paper-based exams students must complete the OMR sheet, which is tedious, and in online exams, students only need to choose the correct option, and then proceed to another question.

2. Errors are fixable

Yes!! Examiners who take the test in the online mode are able to change their answers at any time while taking the test, but in offline mode answer sheets that are marked cannot be modified.

3. The chances of not getting every question are slimmer.

There is a screen of the computer that shows all questions with different colors, indicating the answers, questions left unanswered, or marked to review. Thus, the odds of not answering a question are lower.

4. Environmentally Friendly

Paper usage is reduced, making it an eco-friendly option.

5. Minimized Cheating

Online tests are generally more secure, with multiple security protocols and monitoring in place to reduce the risk of malpractices.

6. Randomized Question Papers

Questions are shuffled for each candidate, ensuring a unique set for everyone, adding fairness to the exam process.

Conclusion

For candidates, the change of the JEE Main exam from offline to online mode has resulted in many benefits, including improving the flow and efficiency of the test administration. Reducing the possibility of missing any questions, the online format lets students readily fix mistakes, and provides a clearer view of unresolved or marked problems, therefore removing the trouble of completing OMS sheets. Most people agree that this change is a good one since it will help students to better manage their time and simplify their exam experience.
