Top Preparation Tips After the Calendar Release

With the JEE Main Exam Calendar 2026 having been officially announced, applicants now have a clear schedule that allows them to plan their study more efficiently. The first step is to ensure that your learning schedule is in line with the dates and times of the exam, especially if you're taking both session 1 (January) and session 2 (April). Begin by breaking the course into the cycles of revision rather than first-time learning. Concentrate on strengthening the subjects you've already studied.

Must Know: JEE Main Passing Marks 2026

Next, prioritize NCERT textbooks, especially for Chemistry because a large majority of tests are either directly or indirectly based on NCERT. In addition, you should begin with full-length mock tests every week at least. Examining your test performance is as crucial as taking them. Identify weaknesses in your chapters, mistakes that are repeated and time-management concerns.

Time management plays an important function following the release of the calendar. Test your answers under real exam conditions, observing the exact timings and distribution of questions. Develop a strategy that is subject-specific. Try your most challenging subject first to increase your confidence and be sure to avoid guesswork on numerical-based questions.
