JEE Mains Exam Pattern 2025
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the JEE Main 2025 exam in two sessions: January and April. To be ready, students must know how to follow the IIT JEE Exam Pattern for successful preparation. Exams will be held in two shifts: morning and evening. It will consist of three sections Paper 1 (B.E/B.Tech) Paper 2A (B.Arch) and Paper 2B (B.Planning). The overall JEE main paper pattern is the same for both sessions, although there are some minor variations in the pattern of the exam on Paper 1 and Paper 2.

- Candidates must be able to complete only 5 out of 10 NVQs within the subject of Paper 1.
- Those aspiring to be B.Arch candidates have to pass the Paper 2 A drawing test.
- Candidates who are aspiring to B.Planning must take Paper 2B, which is a set of Planning Based Questions in Paper 2B

JEE Main Exam Pattern 2025 (Paper 1 & 2)
The JEE Main exam pattern for 2025 consists of two papers: paper 1 for B.E./B.Tech. as well as Paper 2A for B.Arch. Paper 1 is required for all applicants, whereas Paper 2A is an option for those who want for B.Arch. degrees. JEE Mains Paper Pattern 2025: Different Types of Questions
In accordance with the IIT JEE exam pattern, each subject will be divided into two sections. Section A will comprise Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and Section B will have questions that require answers to be completed with a numerical value. For Section B applicants are required to answer any five (five) questions from 10. There are negative markings in both Section A as well as Section B. For every question that is in Section B the candidate must enter the correct integer value for the answer by using the mouse and on-screen virtual numeric keypad that is used to input the answer. In Section B the answers need to be rounded to the closest integer.

BE/BTech and BArch/BPlan JEE Main 2025 Marking Scheme
The marking pattern for the JEE Mains exam 2025 paper 1 and paper 2 is similar. The JEE Mains marks total are 400 for paper 2. The marks total for JEE Mains 2025 paper 1 is 300. Each wrong answer can lead to a deduction of 1 mark. And for every correct answer, candidates receive +4 marks.
