Types of NEET Counselling
- All India Quota (AIQ) – 15%
- The counselling was conducted by MCC.
- This regulatory policy applies to all government colleges in the country.
- Open to all NEET qualified candidates.
- State Quota – 85%
- Conducted by the respective State Directorate of Medical Education (DME).
- Candidates are given seats reserved because of their domicile.
- Counselling for Deemed & Central Universities
- Deemed universities, for example KMC, DY Patil.

NEET 2025 Counselling Process – Step by Step
Step 1: Registration
- Go to the official website of your state or visit mcc.nic.in.
- Fill in your roll number and password during registration.
- Pay the fees for registration and security deposit.
Step 2: Choice Filling & Locking
- Select and add the colleges and courses you like.
- Make use of past year’s stream cut-offs to get a general idea.
- Don’t wait until the last minute to decide, stroll through your alternatives and settle on what you prefer.
Step 3: Seat Allotment
- Both MCC and state agencies give you admissions based on your NEET score, your category, and your choices.
- It is important to download your NEET 2025 allotment letter.
Step 4: Reporting to College
- Take your papers to the college location where you have been assigned.
- Clear your dues at the school to reserve the seat you have been assigned.
Step 5: Upgradation/Next Round (if any)
- You can request to sit in better areas in Round 2.
- Not reporting will lead to you losing the seat.
