NEET UG 2025 Paper Leak News

The NTA conducted the NEET 2025 examination on May 4, 2025. The authority has faced many issues historically and this year issued a stern warning to medical students to exercise caution regarding rumors of examination paper leaks. This warning is issued due to the rising number of online complaints regarding unlawful access to NEET exam questions.

The NTA actions against the Telegram channels

Some Telegram channels asserted their ability to supply the NEET examination paper. They claimed control of the NEET question paper. NTA has successfully identified and blocked over 165 Telegram channels and more than 32 Instagram accounts. They discovered that they distributed inaccurate information regarding the forthcoming examination. NEET has detected several channels disseminating misinformation on the examination. The networks instilled unwarranted panic in medical students by claiming they had access to examination papers.

NTA launched NEET paper leak portal for reporting

The NTA has established a website for reporting dubious claims regarding the NEET, enabling applicants to submit allegations of fraudulent claims associated with the examination. The NTA has issued a statement emphasising the gravity of this matter, invoking the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, and cautioning that anybody found guilty of employing or promoting dishonest practices will face stringent penalties. The agency has instructed candidates to exclusively depend on official information from NEET's official website.

NTA Implements New Security Measures for NEET 2025 Exam

In reaction to the NEET-UG scandal of 2024, the administration has significantly heightened security measures in anticipation of the NEET examination in 2025. Crucial activities include thorough security assessments at NEET examination centres, in collaboration with district police and NTA security protocols.

The transportation of NEET examination sheets and OMR sheets is conducted under stringent police protection to prevent any leaks or tampering. CCTV cameras are deployed at examination centers to guarantee total accountability and openness. Authorities are consistently surveilling coaching centers and online platforms to thwart organized networks of cheaters.

What was the NEET 2024 paper leak?

The NEET 2024 leak incident significantly undermined the integrity of India's premier medical entrance examination. The examination exhibited atypical scoring trends, such as scores of 67 alongside excellent scores and the implausible mathematics-based score of 719. An inquiry has revealed a leak originating in Bihar, where students allegedly paid substantial amounts to gain prior access to the exam.

The CBI inquiry revealed a network of school administrators and facilitators. In response to the claims, the Supreme Court recognised the modest impact but declined a retest, while the NTA proceeded to perform a retest for 1,563 pupils. Severe penalties resulted in the cancellation of admissions for 14 students, the suspension of 26, and the prohibition of scores for several years, delivering a stern admonition on the integrity of examinations.
