Telangana NEET Counselling 2025

The Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) is the official body that is involved in the NEET UG counselling in the Telangana state MBBS, BDS and other allied health sciences. All the Telangana Government, Private, Minority, and Unaided medical colleges involved in this process come under the state quota (85%). The remaining 15 percent is given to All India Quota (AIQ).

The KNRUHS NEET counselling will tentatively start in the last week of July 2025. The exact dates will be notified to the NEET aspirants through the official notification published on the KNRUHS portal.

Telangana NEET Counselling 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Students can check the eligibility criteria for both state quota and management quota from below:

Telangana State Quota NEET Counselling 2025

There are a set of eligibility requirements on the side of candidates who are applying through Telangana state quota:

Nationality: 

• He or she must be an Indian citizen, or
• Person of Indian origin (PIO), or
• Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) and OCI/PIO card granted before March 4, 2021

Locality / Non-Locality status:

Need to meet either the local or the non-local residency requirement according to the Telangana State Government regulation concerning educational institutions.

Educational Qualification:

Should have cleared Intermediate (10+2) or secondary examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany/Zoology) or Biotechnology and English subjects.

Minimum Marks Passing in Science Subjects:

• General (OC): Aggregate 50 percent at least
• BC/SC/ST: 40 percent minimum aggregate
• OC PWD: No less than 45 percent aggregate

Age Requirement:

He/She must attained the age of 17 years by or before 31 st December 2025

NEET UG 2025 Minimum Percentile (Expected):

• General (UR): 50th percent (approximately 137/720)
• PWD of SC/ST/BC and SC/ST/BC: 40th percentile (approximately 107/720)
• OC PWD: 45th percentile ( approximately 121/720)

For Management Quota Seats (Private Colleges – All Categories)

The eligibility criteria that are required by the candidates applying under management quota (including NRI seats) are as follows:

Nationality:

Should either be an Indian Citizen or an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).

Domicile Requirement:

He or she must be a Telangana resident, however NRIs may have relaxed conditions.

Educational Qualification:

Should have completed 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as essential subjects.

Minimum Marks in PCB Subjects:

• General Category: 50 % or more
• SC/ST/OBC: 40 % reservation
• PwD Candidates: Not less than 45 %

Age Criteria:

• Age should be 17 years and above as at 31st December 2025
• Upper Age Limit: 25 years(5 years relaxation to SC/ST/OBC candidates)

NEET UG 2025 application requirement:

• Must passed and appeared the NEET UG 2025
• It is requisite to have a valid NEET scorecard

Should complete the registration online for counselling within the time stipulated by KNRUHS

Telangana NEET UG Counselling 2025- Counselling Process

Let us keep it easy:

1. Online Registration @knruhs.telangana.gov.in

You have to fill a form and pay the counselling fee (₹2500 for UR, 2000 SC/ST).

2. Verification of Document Upload

You will need:

• NEET 2025 Rank Card and hall ticket
• SSC/Intermediate Certificates
• Caste/Income/Residence/Domicile certificates
• Aadhar + Recents photos

3. Declaration of Merit List

KNRUHS comes out with a state merit list on the basis of NEET UG scores. Your NEET AIR can be different to your Telangana state rank.

4. Web Options (Telangana NEET Choice Filling)

It is at this point that most students say the wrong things. Before the deadline, you have to select colleges (such as Gandhi Medical College, Osmania, Kakatiya, etc.) carefully and then update it.

5. Telangana NEET UG Seat Allotment & Reporting

Students are allotted seats based on their preferences. If they are unsatisfied they can apply in the second and mop-up rounds. Once allotted the seats, report on time to the allotted college for further admission process.
