Why Everyone Still Comes to CLC Sikar After 30 Years

My neighbour's son got into MBBS last year. Government college. Full merit.

When I asked his father where the boy had studied, he said - CLC Sikar. Same place where his elder brother had prepared for JEE, twelve years ago.

Two sons. Two exams. One institute. That is not coincidence. That is trust built over time.

Sikar Mein Coaching? In 1996?

People forget what Sikar looked like for students back in 1996.

There was no coaching belt. No study culture the way Kota had it. If your family was in Jhunjhunu or Churu and your child wanted to become a doctor or engineer, the practical answer was: send them to Kota. Or Jaipur. Or accept that quality coaching is something other people's children get.

Shrawan Choudhary started CLC Sikar in 1996 because he disagreed with that reality.

Not loudly. Not with a big press release. Just he opened a classroom. He started teaching. And the students who came out the other side started getting results.

Nobody Advertised It. People Just Talked.

Sikar is not a big city. Word travels fast here.

One family's child cleared NEET - where did he study? CLC. Another kid from Nagaur got into NIT - which coaching? CLC Sikar. A girl from a small village near Bikaner, first in her family to ever sit for JEE, cracked it - her father had heard about CLC from a relative three years earlier and held on to that information until she was ready for Class 11.

That is how the reputation built. Not ads. Not hoardings. Actual results, talked about by actual people.

By the time most coaching institutes in smaller cities were still figuring things out, CLC Sikar already had families from Hanumangarh, Barmer, and Churu putting their children in Sikar hostels specifically to study here.

What 30 Years Actually Means

Most people hear "30 years" and think it is just a number. Something to put on a banner.

It is not.

30 years means the teacher who taught your father's friend is still teaching - and knows every trick the NEET paper has thrown at students since 2013. It means the study material has been revised, thrown out, rebuilt, revised again, until it actually works. It means the test series has been adjusted every single year based on what came in the real exam.

30 years means the institute has seen syllabus changes, pattern changes, pandemic years, online exam shifts and it is still here.

Most importantly 30 years means the institute cannot hide behind good marketing anymore. Either your students are getting into AIIMS and government colleges and IITs, or they are not. After three decades, the only thing keeping a coaching institute alive is results.

CLC Sikar is alive. Draw your own conclusion.

The Things That Have Not Changed

Infrastructure changes. Technology changes. Fees change.

Some things at CLC Sikar have genuinely not moved in 30 years and these are the things that probably matter most.

Teachers here know students by name. That sounds small. It is not small. In a coaching centre where 300 students are packed into a hall and the teacher finishes the chapter and leaves no one knows if you understood it or not. At CLC Sikar, batch sizes are kept at a level where a teacher actually notices if a student is struggling. Doubt sessions are not optional. They are scheduled. They happen.

The faculty does not change every year. Some of the teachers at CLC Sikar have been here longer than most of today's NEET students have been alive. That kind of continuity is rare. And it shows in how well they understand the exam not just the syllabus, but the specific ways questions are framed, the traps that appear every year, the chapters that suddenly get heavier weightage.

And the scholarship programme started because Shrawan Choudhary believed that a student's bank balance should not decide whether they get good coaching is still running. Still helping students who would otherwise simply not be here.

Students Who Made It - and Where They Started

The ones CLC Sikar is most proud of are not necessarily the ones who came from strong academic backgrounds.

They are the students who came from villages where no one in the family had ever sat for NEET. The ones whose parents were farmers or small business owners and had no idea how competitive entrance exams worked but trusted the institute enough to send their child anyway. The ones who stayed in a hostel in Sikar for two years, far from home, and came out with a rank.

Those students are now doctors. Engineers. Some of them are now parents themselves and they are already asking about pre-foundation courses for their own children.

That kind of cycle does not happen at institutes that are just okay.

What CLC Sikar Offers Today

The institute has grown a lot since 1996. Today there are programmes for:

  • Students in Class 6 to 10 who want to build a strong foundation early
  • Class 11 students starting the two-year NEET or JEE journey
  • Class 12 students doing a focused one-year programme alongside boards
  • Dropper students who are taking another shot at NEET or JEE
  • NDA aspirants who want a career in the armed forces
  • Students who cannot come to Sikar but want CLC's material through the Distance Learning Programme

The DLP especially has opened up CLC Sikar's reach beyond Rajasthan. Students in other states who cannot relocate get the same study material and test series that classroom students use.

If You Are Still Deciding

Look, there are a lot of coaching institutes in Sikar now. More than there were in 1996, obviously.

So why CLC Sikar?

Honestly? Because when you are putting two years of your life and your family's trust into a preparation programme, you want to go somewhere where the track record is not theoretical. Where you can talk to someone whose child studied here ten years ago and ask them directly: was it worth it?

At CLC Sikar, those people exist. In large numbers.

Thirty years of them.
