Karnataka NEET Counselling 2025
The official dates are yet to be declared but believing the news from the unofficial sources, students should make their documents ready for the counseling before July. The whole NEET counselling process is anticipated to continue through November 2025.
For the medical admission in Karnataka in 2025, the state is offering approximately 12,395 MBBS seats across 71 medical colleges. This includes 3,800 seats in government medical colleges and around 6,000 seats in private colleges and over 2,500 seats under deemed universities and NRI quotas. The contribution of Karnataka in the total medical seats across India has increased this year. The state has already instituted 250 additional seats in addition to the previous year seat matrix within the state of Karnataka through a government medical college based in Ramanagara and Kanakapura.

Criteria of Eligibility for Karnataka NEET Counselling 2025
In order to be eligible to the state quota counselling held in Karnataka, candidates are required to:
- Score above the Minimum Marks in NEET UG 2025.
- A resident of Karnataka to be eligible for government seat.
- Have already undergone Class 10 and 12 from approved boards.
- At least, 17 years old as of December 31, 2025.
- There are different eligibility norms in NRI/management quota seats.
Karnataka NEET Counselling Process 2025: Step by step
- Online Registration: One should visit www.kea.kar.nic.in and through NEET 2025 roll number register at.
- Payment of Application Fee: Make counselling payment according to category: General /OBC: ~Rs 1000, SC/ST: ~Rs 50
- Uploading of Documents & Verification: Submit scanned documents and also physically verify yourself at assigned centres. The documents required for verification has been given below.
- Publication of Seat Matrix and Merit List: KEA will publish the merit list and seat matrix of Karnataka NEET UG 2025.
- Choice Filling and Locking: Candidates will be able to fill the choices of MBBS Admission under NEET in Karnataka according to the choice.
- Declaration of Seat Allotment Result: Inquire at KEA login to get the allotment status and get the provisional allotment letter.
- College Reporting: One should report to the assigned college with original documents and pay fees.
Documents Required for Karnataka NEET 2025 Counselling
For the document verification process during Karnataka NEET UG 2025 counselling, candidates must carry both original documents and a set of photocopies. Belo is the list of the required documents:
- NEET 2025 Scorecard & Admit Card
- Class 10 & 12 Mark Sheets and Passing Certificates
- Karnataka Domicile/Resident Certificate (as proof of state eligibility)
- Study Certificate from Class 1 to 10 (for rural and Kannada medium claims)
- Transfer Certificate from the last attended institution
- Caste and Income Certificate (for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates, issued by competent authority)
- Passport-size Photographs (at least 4–5 copies)
- Identity Proof (Aadhaar Card/PAN Card/Passport)
- Parents’ Study/Residence Certificate (if applying under domicile eligibility via parental education)
- Migration Certificate (for students coming from boards other than Karnataka Board)
- Physical Disability Certificate (if applicable)
- Affidavit for Gap Year (if there is a gap after Class 12)
