BCECEB will conduct an Undergraduate Medical Admission Counselling 2025 (UGMAC 2025) which will consist of Bihar NEET UG Counselling 2025. The formal schedule of counselling will be displayed soon. As the NEET 2025 result is now announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the applicants in Bihar can now prepare for the Bihar NEET Counselling 2025 process.

Bihar NEET Counselling 2025

In order to be able to participate in the Bihar NEET UG Counselling 2025, the interested applicants need to ensure that they register themselves properly on the official BCECEB web portal within the set time. As soon as the application window is closed, the authority will publish the Bihar MBBS/BDS merit list, where the names of the candidates, who will be selected to undergo the counselling procedure will be mentioned. Only the ones who are in the Bihar NEET merit list 2025 will be permitted to move ahead to fill in the choices, during which they will be asked to choose courses and colleges of their choice. 

The seat allocation is carried out on various parameters which include, NEET 2025 state rank of the candidate, preferences filled by the candidate, the availability of the seat, and reservation rules. The result of seat allotment is posted after every round of counselling on the internet. The candidates who are offered a seat will have to report in the allocated college where the document verification and final admission will be carried out. Candidates must carry with them important documents such as NEET 2025 admit card, NEET rank card, NEET application form, NEET choice slip, academic certificates as well as caste certificate (if applicable) and any valid I.D proof.

Bihar NEET UG Counselling 2025 – Eligibility Criteria

The candidates are required to meet the following eligibility criteria of Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board ( BCECEB ) to be able to take part in the Bihar NEET Counselling 2025:

Academic and NEET Qualification

• They should have qualified NEET UG 2025.
• Should have completed 12 th (or equivalent) with subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English.
• Minimum Marks in 10+2 (aggregates of PCB):
• General category: 50%
• SC/ST/OBC: 40%
• PWD (General): 45%

Minimum Age Requirement

• The applicant should attain age 17 or more as of December 31, 2025.
• Maximum age is not defined in the NEET UG regulations though it may change by the NMC/MCC.

Domicile and Residential Criteria

• The parents of the candidate are permanent residents of Bihar.
• One of the parents is an employee of the government of Bihar.
• The applicant is a refugee who is located in Bihar.
• NRIs can apply as long as their parents have worked at the Bihar Government or have lived permanently in Bihar.
• Children of Central Government or Public Sector staffing posted in Bihar.
• Students whose parents are transferable employees presently working in Bihar or have been transferred to Jharkhand.

Note: The candidate is to fulfill either one of the following in order to claim state quota seats. Certificate of valid domicile together with supporting documents will be needed during verification of documents to avail benefits of state quota.

Bihar NEET Counselling 2025 – Choice Filling, Locking & Seat Allotment Process

Under the guidance of UGMAC, which is a committee constituted by the Ministry of Education, the Bihar NEET UG Counselling 2025 will involve all qualified candidates in an online choice filling and locking process prior to the seat allotment and assignment by BCECEB. The candidates registered successfully and appeared in the Bihar MBBS/BDS Merit List 2025 will only be eligible.

Bihar NEET Counselling 2025 Choice Filling

Prior to the start of the seat allotment process, the candidates will have to log in to the UGMAC portal with the help of their Registration ID and Password which is created during the application process.

Choice Filling Steps:

• Open the BCECEB official site: bceceboard.bihar.gov.in
• Sign-in with your UGMAC ID and your password.
• Select the link of the choice filling or preference entry.
• A list of medical and dental colleges with different courses available (MBBS/BDS/BVSc & AH) and type of seats (Government, Private, etc.) will be seen.
• Choose several colleges and courses according to the NEET UG 2025 score and rank. You could rank them in the sequence of preference.
• Every now and then, save your preferences so that you do not lose data.
• You are allowed to make adjustments as many times as possible until the last deadline.

Suggestion: Choose colleges to which you can get a good score matching last year's cut-off which will help you to be allotted a place in that college.

Choice Locking Process:

After you get satisfied with the set of your choices:

• Look thoroughly through all the selected colleges and course combinations.
• Confirm by clicking on the “Lock Choices” or “Submit Choices.
• After locking, one can not make any additional edits.

Must Note: As timeliness is extremely critical, in case a candidate fails to lock choices manually prior to the deadline, then in a scenario whereby he/she has yet to save his choices, then the system will automatically take into account his last saved preferences in the seat allotment process.

Bihar NEET Counselling 2025- Seat Allotment Process

The process of allotment of seats is done offline on the following criteria:

• State Merit Rank ( Bihar MBBS 2025 )
• Choices filled and locked by the candidate.
• Availability of seats in every college
• Category and reserved norms (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD etc.)
• Eligibility on domicile grounds (85% state quota)

Allotment Rounds:

• Round 1
• Round 2
• mop-up Round
• Stray Vacancy Round (if necessary)

Differing categories are counselled separately and the reservation policy of Bihar is followed.

Seat Allotment Result and Admission

When each round was passed:

• The allotment result on seats is made available on official BCECEB site.
• The candidates who have been provided a seat should make sure they reach the college/institute which has been allotted to them within the given time.
• They are required to bring with them, original documents, which include:
• NEET 2025 Score Card and Admit Card
• 10th & 12 th marksheet and passing Certificate
• Bihar State Residential Certificate
• Caste/Category Certificate (where any)
• Photographs the size of a passport.
• Valid picture photo identification
• Registration slip of UGMAC and choice filling summary

Non-Reporting

The allotted seat can be cancelled and the candidate will be disqualified by not reporting to the assigned college within the stipulated time or failing to submit documents within the specified time.

Bihar Counselling 2025 Reservation Criteria

According to the reservation policy of Bihar NEET Counselling 2025 some percentage of MBBS (2565) and BDS (243) seats are reserved to the applicants who belong to specific categories. The seat distribution allows equal consideration to the disadvantaged groups.
